Ram Report’s next featured club is the Environmental Action Group! This recently formed club focuses on taking action within the Dayton area to combat the climate crisis. The effects of climate change are impacting the Ohio region as well as around the world. The climate crisis has contributed to worse wildfires in Canada, leading to harmful air quality in Canada and the northeastern United States. Ocean temperatures are changing faster than their inhabitants can adapt, causing coral bleaching and the loss of ecosystems. As students of the future generation, our voices have power.

The environmental action group is planning many initiatives in which they use their voices and power to achieve their goals. To inform the public about current environmental issues and actions that can be taken, they plan to create a digital magazine. They also plan to contact local government representatives to share proposals on ways to reach net zero carbon emissions.

The Environmental Action Group meets on Day 1 at 1:30 pm in Ms. Santana’s room. They invite anyone interested in helping our planet to stop by!
