For the first time in many years, there is a play being directed by a student in the Miami Valley School. This semester, Vex Niteros, a senior at the Miami Valley School, directs In the Forests of the Night, a short play with an exhilarating and mysterious plot.
In the Forests of the Night follows thirteen students compelled by their dreams to play a dangerous game in the forests. These students are forced to play this game for fear of disaster striking in their school, creating a tense, high-stakes atmosphere for the characters. The play focuses on survival, fear, and suspense, with emphasis on relationships between characters and their environment.
The cast includes Mia Byarlay, Gracianna Christ, Charlie Salzman, Quin Tyler, Caleb Meeker, Klaus Massey, Jasmine Patrick, Miles Williams, Trip Peterson, Bani Chattopadhyay, Brihanna Howell, Brendan Berna, and Zoë Boulton-Dang.
This play is only about 30 minutes long, so it’s a short but fun watch. The performances are on Friday, March 13th and Saturday the14th.
