Circleville Pumpkin Show

School News Travel

On October 16th, three of  Dr. Peterson’s classes went to the Circleville Pumpkin Show. It’s an annual festival just south of Columbus celebrating local agriculture and all things pumpkin. Drawing hundreds of thousands of visitors, it features parades, rides, contests, and pumpkin-themed treats like pies, donuts and lots of fried foods.

The U.S. Government class looked at civic engagement along with the role government plays in events and event management. International students primarily focused on experiencing American culture in a festival setting. Finally, the Entrepreneurship elective looked at entrepreneurship in-action and talked with local vendors and shops.

Student posters will be displayed outside Dr. Peterson’s room!
