Music Club, an extracurricular here at MVS led by Yuyan Liu and Sophia Paul, had its first meeting on September 19, 2025. Located in Mr. Louttit’s room (159) on Day 2, the club’s goal is to promote student interaction by sharing members’ interests in music. “We explore genres, make playlists, host karaoke, and plan multiple fun activities”- Sophia. They had their elections during the first meeting, and Mac Walz and Ciara Dwyer won VP!
A band they recommend is Stray Kids. This K-pop group is made up of eight members: Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, I.N., and Seungmin.Their music has strong elements of hip-hop, trap, and EDM genres, where they often mix in elements of rock, funk, and experimental sounds. A fun fact about them is that they write and produce all of their own music, and their leader, Bang Chan, is one of the youngest members of the Korea Music Copyright Association (KOMCA) to have such a high number of songs credited to his name, currently holding 227 registered songs.
