Every year, the Miami Valley School puts on both a Fall play and a Spring Musical. This year, the Musical that has been chosen is High School Musical!
High School Musical follows Troy Bolton, the star of the basketball team at a high school, who falls for Gabriella Montez, a nerdy supergenius at a holiday karaoke party. When they return to campus, Troy and Gabriella audition for the upcoming school musical, but are faced with backlash from their peers and attempts to stop their plans from the President of the drama club, Sharpay Evans. The High School Musical is a campy and fresh performance with a heartwarming message of friendship and being true to yourself.
Students involved in this Musical include Asher Pachman as Troy Bolton, Rylee Boyer as Gabriella Montez, Hannah Kirschman as Sharpay Evans, Jonathan Pickens as Ryan Evans, Oscar Anderson as Chad Danforth, Mia Byarlay as Taylor McKessie, Rose Wentz as Kelsi Neilson, Caleb Meeker as Zeke Baylor, Naiara Sala Benitez as Martha Cox, Reed Meeker as Darbus, Pete Steely-Voetberg as Coach Bolton, Alden Pachman as Jack Scott, Pete Steely-Voetberg as Ripper, and Echo Berkhofer as Ms. Tenny/Moderator. Along with that, the ensemble, or fellow students of East High School include Julia Vallbona Martin, Rayna Annamraju, Giulia Boni, Bani Chattopadhyay, Aliyah Rose-Landon, Avani Jain, Trip Peterson, Parker Winston, Beulah Nduru, Mar Shoup, Grace Mitchell, Hannah Dritz, Ryleigh Manuel, and Emma Myers.
