Club Spotlight: Music Club

Clubs Lifestyle

This edition, of Ram Report is spotlighting a club that started at the beginning of the school year, the Music Club. Music Club is a great place for students to learn about different music genres and talk about their special interests when it comes to music. The Music Club does many events related to music such as Kahoots, seasonal parties, and workshops, along with creating playlists for different seasons and occasionally for school dances. Music Club also collaborates with the Crochet Club for seasonal parties.

Music Club is led by Yuyan Liu and Sophia Paul who started the club together;

“My reason I started this club is that I wanted a club that could have a lot of engagement, so the very initial idea was that it was a study club where we listen to music and just do homework, which eventually evolved into this: a music club.” – Yuyan

“I was really invested in planning the music club once Yuyan proposed the idea to me. The name is somewhat misleading, we don’t play music. We teach people about different genres and get to see differing tastes across grades. We have had people present on cultural music and many other genres. It’s so interesting and a great way to learn more about music casually. We play games and have parties, and also we are able to assist in making the homecoming playlist this year.” – Sophia

Music Club takes place on Day one from 1 to 1:30, in Dr. Potkalitsky’s room.
